Games Nature Notice

For grown-ups

Stay together and notice twice

This is a talking prompt, not a test. Help the child stay where you know is safe. They never need to go outside, touch a plant or animal, or find a particular thing. For Sky watch, look at clouds or sky colours and never look directly at the sun or another bright light.

  1. Choose one short mission together.
  2. For a local mission, put the screen down to notice. For Indoor picture, keep the picture on screen.
  3. Try the same mission again and make a second note.
  4. Compare the notes. Same, different, and not sure are all useful.

The final screen suggests returning another day. It does not claim that later visit happened. The game uses no camera, microphone, location, score, or saved observation.

How to play

Choose one safe mission with a grown-up, look or listen twice, make two Nature Notes, and compare them without a score.

Adult help

This activity is designed for grown-up co-play. Keep the child in a safe viewing or listening place, help read the mission, and repeat that same mission for both notes.

Accessibility

A grown-up must help choose a safe place and may need to read the mission aloud. The two notes are self-reported observations, not an assessment or proof of what happened away from the screen.
