About Space Shooter

Fly through the stars, dodge enemy ships, shoot, and collect colourful power-ups in a fast-paced arcade game.

Suggested age: Ages 7–10
Practice: Arcade play: track hazards, aim, and react quickly

Controls: Keyboard, Touch
Reading: Short menus, controls, and status labels
Instruction help: The start screen lists keyboard and touch controls, and Play, Pause, and Star burst remain native buttons. Spoken instructions are not included.

Move the ship, shoot approaching enemies, dodge hazards, and collect power-ups for as long as you can.

A grown-up may help explain the controls or suggest an untimed game if rapid action is frustrating.

The game is fast, visually dense, and not designed for screen-reader-only play.

Detailed access information

Keyboard: Move with arrow keys or A and D, fire with Space, and pause with Escape.
Touch: On-screen movement and firing controls are available on touch screens.
Screen reader: Menus are labelled, but active arcade play depends on visual tracking. Manual screen-reader testing remains pending.
Timing: Enemies and hazards require continuous, quick reactions.
Motion: Reduced-motion mode removes screen shake, particle bursts, and flashing effects.
Sound: Optional starship sound effects with a sound toggle and volume control. No sound is required to play.
